CSI Background

Since the early 1970’s we manufacture control & monitoring systems and alarm annunciators. What started as a marine alarm system with numerous lamps and relays, has grown into advanced tailor-made control systems. More than 3500 ships, sailing the world sea, have our CSI System on board.

Historical overview

1967 C.S.I. Instrumentatie Meet- en Regeltechniek B.V. in Vlaardingen was founded. At that time the company was a pioneer in the development of compact alarm & monitoring systems based on micro-processor technology.

1992 CSI was taken over by Simac Techniek NV. Simac, incorporated in 1971 and quoted on the Amsterdam stock exchange since 1986, is a technology company operating in the Benelux and Central Europe. Simac supplies and maintains high-quality technology in medium-sized and large companies to improve operations. CSI Instrumentatie Meet-en Regeltechniek B.V. is re-named SIMAC CSI.

1997 Management buy out and CSI Control Systems continues as a private owned company with specific focus on the marine sector.

2003 CSI is acquired by VAF Instruments, supplier of fluid measuring instruments and control systems for the processing and marine industries.

2008 D2 Services acquires CSI DeltaMACS systems from VAF Instruments. With the recent acquisition of the CSI DeltaMACS system from VAF-CSI we now offer fully integrated alarm & monitoring solutions for the yachting, marine, shipping, dredging, offshore sector and more. D2 Services was founded in 2002, started as a service and engineering company and has experienced steady growth over the years.

2010 D2 Services is re-branded into CSI Control Systems.
